The main bus stand, government hospital, and railway station are approximately 10 kilometres away. Government and private schools are within walking distance. Local bus, taxi, and auto facilities are available at all times. There are primary health centres, e-services, grocery and stationery shops, commercial establishments, hotels, colleges, and IT parks like Cognizant, HCL, and KGIS. Departmental stores are also available, along with Sunday markets, churches, temples, and mosques are nearby.read more

Things need improvement

There are frequent traffic jams during busy hours, especially from 3 pm to 9 pm. The road conditions are also poor, increasing the risk of accidents during peak times. Additionally, there is no proper waste disposal system in place under a strict protocol.read more

Saravanampatti’s groundwater is not only classified as critical, but it also contains fluoride. Now, Saravanampatti is one of the thirty or so blocks in Salem, Dharmapuri, and Krishnagiri, where fluoride had been present in the groundwater for many years. Once a sleepy suburb, Saravanampatti has expanded rapidly into one of Coimbatore’s major software hubs in just ten years.
