There is a large cricket ground as well as other amenities. In addition, the railway station is 200 metres away and food franchises such as McDonald's and Domino's are 100 metres away. The roads are in decent condition. After the rain, there is no logging of water. Furthermore, shops and markets may be found at every corner. There is no power outage here.read more

The area lies on the southern end of Salsette Island along the east bank of the Mithi River. In Kurla, adjacent to the Mithi river, the Bombay Taximen Union started construction on the Taximen Colony in 1969. Kurla is divided into two parts: Kurla (East) and Kurla (West), separated by the Central Railway line. It encircles an area of 135 square kilometers, covering a total of 29 villages in two circles. Kurla is a metropolitan mix of residential colonies, big and small industrial estates, commercial enclaves, and slums. An integrated township called Kohinoor City is located in Kurla West and has around 900,000 square feet of commercial space and about 300,000 square feet of retail, residential, hotel, and educational space. A good network of roads and trains connects the region to a variety of developed districts as well as hotels, schools, banks, and hospitals.
